Christmas Vacation

There has not been any real schooling being done since it is still officially Christmas break. However, Veruca received several educational toys and games and thus is a willing participant in "learning". Today she opened her laboratory kit (crime scene investigation) .  By far the most interesting thing for her was the flourescent pen and giant bug which came in the kit. Tomarrow we will delve into her medical kits. I am hoping not to be a victim, I mean patient. If I survive I will post about it tomarrow. Right now the little princess is peacefully sleeping and thus mommy should be too.

Smens

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I was the winner in a giveaway @ Confessions of a Homeschooler. The UPS man showed up when it was dark bearing a huge box . I was not expecting anything so we opened it (even though it was past Veruca's bedtime) and much to our surprise at the bottom of the big box was the package of Smens. Immediately Veruca recognized the Smens packaging and begged me to let her use her sense of smell to tell me what the scent is. MMM she exclaimed I want to eat it but I know I can't digest plastic. She makes me laugh with some of the things that come out of her mouth. As soon as I learn how to post photos to the blog I will.

Lex Puppet on a Stick shhhhhhh!!! He is top secret.

In October I won a Smens giveaway hosted by Erica at Confessions of a homeschooler. This is a product from Educational Insights. Moving forward to December, we received a package from Educational Insights so I tore into it like a child tearing into a Christmas package, thinking it was the Smens I won. I was instead greated by a puppet on a stick named Lex.

Veruca was standing next to me, she shreeked "Oh mommy how did they know? I love it, what is it?" Spoken as only she could. After explaining it was a puppet, she took her new best friend Lex and put on a puppet show. She and Lex played for the rest of the day.
